In State v. Bickart, the SJC rejected Daubert as a standard, allowing in expert testimony about a palm print:

Incidentally, if, because you were dropped on your head as a child or for some other reason you think our judges do not earn their keep, this is one of those decisions showing how wrong you are. Sure, there are the perks of low pay and lots of work. On the flip side, they have to expose themselves to horrifying situations like that presented here.
