The event to celebrate Judge Coffin's life has now been re-scheduled to May 8, same place (Abromson center).
May 8, as History aficionados may know, is V-E day, the day WWII ended in Europe. I know this because my mother's birthday was May 7, while Harry Truman's was May 8. She never forgave Harry for what she thought was postponing the end of the war one day to have it on his birthday instead of hers, and maybe it's not just coincidence that as soon as she was old enough to vote she registered Republican and voted R for the rest of her life.
